A Brief
Vinita Jindal is Professor in the Department of Computer Science, Keshav Mahavidyalaya, University of Delhi. She joined the college in August 2001 as a lecturer (Adhoc) in the Department of Computer Science. Later on, she was appointed as a permanent Assistant Professor in the Department in September 2010. She was the Teacher-in-charge, Department of Computer Science, Keshav Mahvidyalaya from May 2017 - April 2019. She also worked as the Deputy Superintendent, Central Evaluation Centre (CEC) during May-June 2012 and Nov-Dec 2012. She was promoted to Associate Professor in November 2018 and professor in November 2021.
She did her Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Delhi in 2018. She did her M.Phil. in Computer Science from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamilnadu in 2007, then MCA from IGNOU in 2000 and B. A. (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Delhi in 1997. She also cleared the UGC-NET examination for Computer Science and Applications in December 2008.
She is mainly working in the area of Networks and Artificial Intelligence. Her area of interest includes Fake Review Detection, Internet Protocols, Information Security, Security in Finance, Cloud Security, Vehicular Adhoc Networks, Intrusion Detection Systems, Swarm Intelligence, Network Security, Cyber Security, Machine Learning and Recommender Systems. Currently, she is supervising 5 Ph.D. students and 1 Ph.D. student has succesfully completed her PhD in 2022.
She holds many administrative responsibilities in the college. She was IQAC coordinator for the year 2022-2023 and a member of the IQAC from 2021-2022. She has been working as a coordinator for Foreign Languages (French and German) for the students of both certificate and Diploma courses since 2019 till date. She is also holding the responsibility of RTI Nodal Officer. Further for the year 2023-24, she is working as a Teacher-in-Charge for NCWEB centre of Keshav Mahavidyalaya. She is the convenor of the Internship Cell of the college and a member of the e-procurement committee of the college to name a few.
