WHO IS ELIGIBLE
Any outstation or NCR girl student who has secured admission to any Under Graduate degree course offered by the college is eligible for Hostel Accommodation.

Readmission of 2nd and 3rdyear students

Admission to hostel is made for a period of one academic year. Residents who wish to rejoin the hostel for 2ndand 3rd year need to apply afresh for each year.

  • All students seeking re-admission for the new session should submit their applications on the prescribed form before proceeding for vacations at the end of the academic session.
  • Students must submit a fresh declaration regarding their parent’s residential address at the beginning of each academic year.
  • In case a resident’s parents change their residence, she should immediately inform the Hostel Office in writing so that her eligibility can be considered afresh. Suppression of information will invite disciplinary action.
  • Admission to the Hostel accommodation for currently non-resident Second and/or Third year students shall be decided on the availability of vacant seats, once the admission process of First year students is complete.
  • The following residents will not qualify for re-admission:

v  Those who have failed in their University Examinations.

v Those who have indulged in unfair means in the University Examinations.

v Those who have not fulfilled the college attendance requirement.

v Those who have been admitted on the basis of Excellence in Sports/Extracurricular Activities (ECA), but have not participated on a regular/satisfactory basis in the specific activities on the basis of which admission was granted.

v Those who have violated the Hostel Rules or committed acts of misconduct.

v Those who have furnished incorrect information/data.

 

HOW TO APPLY

1.   Girl students (Outstation / NCR)admitted in any regular under graduation course at the college have to submit the duly filled ‘Hostel Admission Application Form’ (available free of cost) after showing College Admission Fee Receipt to Warden.

2.  The selected student has to submit all the forms (available in the Hostel Information Bulletin) duly filled in together with the required documents to the Warden. After this the student is required to pay the annual Hostel fees, and mess charges (for one semester only) within the stipulated time.

3.  The student who fails to deposit the Hostel fee within the stipulated time shall lose the Hostel seat, and may be considered at the end only if seats are vacant.

4.  The final admission/ re-admission to the Hostel shall be subject to the fulfillment of eligibility conditions. The final decision in this regard shall remain with the authority.

5.  Students are advised to regularly check the College/Hostel Notice Board and College Website for relevant information. No individual intimation will be sent in this regard.

If a student does not avail the hostel seat according to the admission schedule, she loses her priority in the admission list. Late applicants and those students who do not deposit the Hostel fee in the stipulated time will have no claim on the hostel seat.

Each resident must have a Local Guardian, who would be responsible for the welfare of the resident in case of an emergency or illness.In no case shall a Local Guardian be a student. The name of the Local Guardian stated in the Hostel Admission Form will be subject to approval of the college authorities. The college reserves the right to ask for a change of Local Guardian. Any change in Local Guardian requires prior approval of the college.All certificates are subject to verification by a competent authority. As per University of Delhi rules, the college will accept self-attested copies of documents/papers provided by the applicant. However, if any false attestation/falsified records are detected, the student will be debarred from attending any course in the University or its college(s) for the next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant section(s) of IPC (viz. 470, 471, 474etc.) will be instituted against her.

SUBMISSION OF DOCUMENTS AT THE TIME OF HOSTEL ADMISSION

The student must submit the following documents, duly filled in, along with fee.

  • 2 Photographs of the student and 1 each of  parents and Local guardian
  • The College Admission Fee Receipt (Self-attested photocopy)
  • Proof of residence (Any one of the following)

v Resident Certificate issued by a competent local authority

v Affidavit issued by the District Magistrate

v Self-attested photocopy of Passport/Ration Card/ Aadhar card

  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD/WWW certificate issued by the competent authority, where applicable
  • Hostel Admission Form (given in the Hostel prospectus)
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (given in the Hostel prospectus)
  • Hostel Accommodation Form (given in the Hostel prospectus)
  • Hostel Identity Card Form (given in the Hostel prospectus)
  • Affidavit by the student (proforma given in the Hostel prospectus)
  • Affidavit by the parent/ Guardian (proforma given in the Hostel prospectus)
ALLOCATION OF SEATS
  • There are 78 seats in Keshav Mahavidyalaya Girl’s Hostel (on sharing basis).
  • Seats are generally distributed among the students of all the courses in the three years. These are re-allotted if found vacant, as per the decision taken by the Hostel authorities.
  • Seats are reserved in the hostel according to the norms of University of Delhi.
  • The student may lose her hostel seat in case of withdrawal from/change of subject.
  • Students admitted under sports quota will lose their hostel/college seats, if they do not participate in college sports/extracurricular activities.
RE-ADMISSION/ADMISSION FOR SECOND AND THIRD YEAR STUDENTS
  • All students seeking re-admission for the new session should submit their applications on the prescribed form before 22nd May, 2014.
  • Students must submit a fresh declaration regarding their parent’s residential address at the beginning of each academic year.
  • In case a resident’s parents change their residence, she should immediately inform the Hostel Office in writing so that her eligibility can be verified afresh. Suppression of information will invite disciplinary action.
  • Admission to the Hostel accommodation for currently non-resident Second and/or Third year students shall be decided on the availability of vacant seats, once the admission process of First year students is complete.
  • List of re-admitted students shall be displayed on Friday, 18 July 2014. Payment of fees shall be from  Monday, 21 July to  Wednesday, 23 July to 2014.
  • The following residents will not qualify for re-admission:

v  Those who have failed in their University Examinations.

v  Those who have indulged in unfair means in the University Examinations.

v  Those who have not fulfilled the college attendance requirement.

v  Those who have been admitted on the basis of Excellence in Sports/Extracurricular Activities (ECA), but have not participated on a regular/satisfactory basis in the specific Activities on the basis of which admission was granted.

v  Those who have violated the Hostel Rules or committed acts of misconduct.

v  Those who have furnished incorrect information/data.

DATE OF JOINING AND LEAVING THE HOSTEL

Date of Joining and Leaving the Hostel

The academic session 2015-16 begins on July 20, 2015. The residents along with parents and Local Guardian must meet the warden in the hostel before moving into their rooms. Parents and Local Guardian have to be personally present on the day of room allocation. The warden will allocate rooms as per the following schedule.




Allocation of the Rooms (10:00 am onwards) at warden office

First year students: 17th July 2015
Second year students: 20th July, 2015
Third year students: 20th July, 2015

Accommodation to the Hostel shall be permitted only after the full Hostel fee and Mess charges for the semester have been paid

All residents are to vacate their rooms at the end of the University academic year. Students will, however be allowed to retain their rooms till the next two days of completion of their semester examinations.
