Note:
  1. For document verification and approval of admission following timing will be observed: 9.30 AM to 1:30 PM
  2. After approval of admission, the applicant has to log on to the undergraduate admission portal to make online admission fee payment. This may be done till 12:00 noon of the last day of that cut-off in which applicant is taking admission.

Further cut-off lists may be declared, depending on the vacant seats as per University of Delhi directives.

UG Merit-Based Admission procedure.
  1. Online Registration: The applicants seeking admission to UG programme/Course must register through online registration.
  2. Cut-offs: The applicants must check the centralized Admission Web Portal (http://admission.du.ac.in) and respective college websites for detailed cut-offs for different programmes/courses.
  3. Selection of Colleges/Programmes: The applicants who meet the requisite cut-off should login to the UG admission portal using their registration account and select college/programme where the applicant wishes to take admission and meets the desired cut-off criterion.
  4. Verification of documents at Colleges: The applicant shall take the print out of the admission/registration form and together with the list of documents/certificates, proceed to the respective college for verification of mark-sheet/certificates, calculation of cut-off percentage depending on the programme/course.
  5. Approval of admission: The College will retain the original certificates of an approved applicant in order to avoid multiple admissions. The certificates will remain with the colleges during the admission process. After this, the college will approve the admission on the UG admission portal. However, the colleges shall promptly return the documents in case the student withdraws/cancels the admission or student wishes to appear in counseling of any other university/institute.
  6. Online payment of Admission fee: The applicant will then be required to log-in to the UG admission portal to make the online admission fee payment through the available online payment options. The approved applicant is permitted to make online admission fee payment till 12 noon of the next day of the last day of admission cut-off list (in which the admission is sought).
List of Documents Required at the Time of Admission.

The applicants shall be required to produce the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission:
  1. Class X Board Examination Certificate
  2. Class X Mark-Sheet
  3. Class XII Mark-Sheet
  4. Class XII Provisional Certificate/Original Certificate
  5. Recent Character Certificate
  6. SC/ST/PwD/CW/KM Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) issued by the competent authority (at least three copies).
  7. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate (in the name of the Applicant) as in the central list issued by http://ncbc.nic.in (at least three copies).
  8. Transfer Certificate from school/college as well as Migration Certificate from Board/ University are required from those students who have passed the senior secondary exam from outside Delhi
  9. At least two passport size self-attested photographs.
Note: Original certificates are to be submitted to the College at the time of admission.


The college will accept self-attested copies of documents/papers provided by the students. It is made clear that if any false attestation/falsified records are detected, the student will be debarred from attending any programme in the University/its Colleges for next five years and in addition, a criminal case under relevant sections of IPC (viz. 470, 471, 474 etc.) will be instituted against him/her.

Guidelines for admission to three year UG courses

1 Qualifying Examinations

Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year of undergraduate courses offered by the University shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class12th) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto. Candidate seeking admission to the courses offered by the college should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the courses in subsequent sections.

2 Age Requirement

There is no minimum age bar for admission to undergraduate courses in the University colleges except in professional courses where regulatory body prescribes minimum age requirement (such as MCI, AlCTE etc.) (Ordinance I). Gap Year/s would be no bar for purposes of admission to the Undergraduate Courses.

3 Equivalence Criteria

The applications for admission to the undergraduate courses in the Colleges in respect of candidates belonging to the Examining bodies of Boards/Universities recognized/accredited by the Association of Indian University/University Grants Commission, Ministry of Human Resource Development shall be considered by the College in terms of the recommendations as circulated in the University circular letter of 13-1-2005. For further details on this, please refer to the bulletin of information for admission to undergraduate courses available on Delhi University website.

4 All the applicants of categories (General/OBC/SC/ST/PwD/KM/CW/Sports/ECA) interested in seeking admission in the courses offered by the college must have filled the centralised University pre-admission form online. This is mandatory for all candidates. There will be no pre-admission at the college level.

5 The cut-offs notified by the university shall be displayed on the University website (http://www.du.ac.in), college website (www.keshav.du.ac.in) and college notice board as per the admission schedule.

6 The applicants who meet the requisite cut-off should login to the UG admission portal and select college/course where the candidate wishes to take admission and meets the desired cut-off criterion.

7 The applicant shall take the print out of the admission form and together with the list of prescribed documents proceed to the college for verification of mark-sheets, calculation of cut-off percentage depending on the course and verification of other documents as per the admission schedule.

8 The college will retain the certificates of approved applicant in order to avoid multiple admissions. The certificates will remain with the colleges during the admission process. However, the colleges shall promptly return the documents in case student withdraws/cancels the admission or student wishes to appear in counseling of any other university/ institute.

9 After this, the college will approve the admission on the UG admission portal. The candidate will then be required to log-on to the UG admission portal to make the online Admission Fee payment through one of the available online payment options. The approved candidate is permitted to make online admission fee payment till 12 noon of the next day of the given admission list deadline.

10 It may be noted that the applicant’s admission in the college is completed only after payment of the online admission fee on the UG admission portal within the prescribed time-limit.

11 An applicant can take admission only in one programme in one college at any given time. In case a student wishes to withdraw/cancel the admission in a programme/college, one should approach the college where the admission is taken. Only after the college cancels the admission, the applicant can proceed to take admission in other programme/college. Admission fee will be adjusted automatically and student will pay the balance fee, if the fee is more in the new college/programme in which the admission is taken. In case the fee is less in the new college/programme in which the admission is taken, the balance would be refunded to the applicant’s account as per the College/University rules after the admissions are closed (refer Annexure).

12 The college shall admit all the applicants who meet the announced cut-off criteria. The policy will not be “first come first served.”

13 The applicants who could not take admission in a given cut-off list can be considered for admission in the immediate next cut-off list only on the last date of admission, subject to availability of seats.

14 For Boards, like International Baccalaureate and others, whose results are declared late, applicants may be considered in whichever cut-off list their results are declared, subject to availability of seats and provided the applicant had completed the online registration process.

15 There shall not be any ‘Additional Eligibility Criterion’ for any categoryin any college/programme.

16 For the Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) course, the admissions are done through entrance exam, and hence separate procedures as notified on University website from time to time shall apply.

17 The procedure for calculation of percentage of “Best Four” subjects (only where admission is done on the basis of “Best Four”) is outlined in Section 5 and Annexure II of the University Information Bulletin.

18 The admission to the Sports and ECA (Extra Curricular Activities) categories shall be on the basis of University guidelines. For further details on this, please refer to the bulletin of information for admission to undergraduate programmes (Section 9.10.1 and Annexure IV for ECA, Section 9.10.2 and Annexure V for Sports) available on the University of Delhi website.

19 The College Grievance Committee shall be available in the College throughout the admission process. The details of the Grievance Committee members are also be available on the college website and on college notice board.

20 The data of candidates admitted in college shall be made available on college website.

21 The merit list for the general category seats will comprise all the applicants in the order of merit. No one will be excluded from the same. In other words, it will also include SC/ST/OBC applicants, if they come in general merit. The applicant cannot be excluded from the general category merit list just because he belongs to SC/ST/OBC. Such applicant is entitled to be considered under the general category, as well as under the reserved category. Admission to open category seats will be strictly in the order of merit without excluding SC/ST/OBC applicants.

22 The college is having 78 seated girls’ hostel, admission guidelines for which are provided in the prospectus.

23 The provisions of ordinance VII (2) shall be applicable as per university guidelines.

  2. Graduate (With Minimum 45% marks in aggregate), or
  3. Post Graduate (With Minimum 45% marks in aggregate)
Guidelines for admission to One Year Diploma Courses for French/German Language
  1. Passed Certificate examination of Delhi University in concerned language or an examination recognized as equivalent.
  2. Candidates who have obtained their certificate in the language from any other institution other than Delhi University or with the Gap of one year before the year of admission shall be required to appear in an Admission test to be conducted by the college.
